Self-Awareness/Natural Energy - staying SANE

 

An imperative link to wellness of body, mind and spirit is to

"know thyself."

 

It is easy to get swept up into the expectations of culture, family, media

or the busy-ness of daily life 

and lose sight of who we really are...

 

Many of us live a life that others think is best for us... but we are truly lost

and many times exhausted.

Days are filled with activities that don't result in long-term satisfaction

and these days can easily add up to an unfulfilled life.

 

What is YOUR heart's desire?

 

Regardless of teachings, philosophy and dogma,

figuring out and responding to your heart-song is the core of ultimate peace.

 

Believe it or not, in that peace is an everlasting supply of natural energy!

 

When you are truly living YOUR AUTHENTIC LIFE,

your energy supply is unlimited!

 

Step #1:

 

Get quiet and find the intersection of your human X spirit self.

This is ground zero for hearing your own heart-song.

 

A good way to do this is to be in nature and sit quietly.

Go to the woods, the shore, a place where you can hear bird calls,

feel the sun and breeze on your skin, breathe in fresh air -

and just get still.

 

Place your awareness in your body - focus on your pelvis/belly/heart area.

 

Step #2:

 

Ask yourself, "what do I really NEED on a daily basis?"

Write it down in detail.  Below are some suggestions.

 

Physically?

 

Nutrients - food, supplements, clean water

Movement - walking, exercise program, other

Shelter

Rest

 

Mentally/Emotionally/Spiritually?

 

Contemplation

Meditation

Devotion

Quiet Time

Gratitude Journal

 

Whatever the above means to you, put into words what your needs are.

 

Think about who you are apart from 

the clothes you wear

the job you do

the family you came from

the family you created

the media's input.

 

Step #3:

 

To go deeper and define how you spend your 86,400 seconds a day.

List ALL your interests and prioritize them.

Are you creating space in your day for the things that really bring you joy?

How can you change things to include at least ONE thing consistently?

 

There is ONLY ONE YOU in this world.

How are you going to shine?
